Webb20 aug. 2016 · Abstract. This paper describes a packet scheduling algorithm for wireless sensor networks (WSNs) that meets the proportional fairness principle. Based on the weighted round-robin strategy, the proposed scheduling algorithm allocates a different service quota to different traffic according to the average packet arrival rate. WebbIn addition to proposing a new disciplinary scheduler, simulation results show that the proportional fair scheduler can be the beneficial for both cell throughput and fairness when serving an emergency communication and commercial users at the same time.

The proportional fairness scheduling algorithm on multi-classes
Webb23 maj 2010 · Proportional Fair Scheduling (PFS) is an important scheduling algorithm in wireless networks, aiming to utilize network resources efficiently while providing fairness among users. Recent progress in channel predictions makes it possible for the scheduler to take into account the achievable rates of users in the upcoming transmission intervals.
