I can 60-120 AA's in a 30 minute lesson burn without significant effort. A ranger can solo for XP as effectively as any other class. The issue is, those mobs have a whole lot more HP and so when a headshot or critical headshot procs, it doesn't take down the mob's HP bar as fast as you are used to seeing on mobs in older expansions.

Just like caster pets are not that great starting out but they get better. The bottom chart is AA level based - so if you only have level 1 of headshot AA then those would be the two suggested zones.
