Web19 x-ray images with 223 samples curated from the open-source GitHub repository [22] and the remaining 55 samples from [23]. Pneumonia (including bacterial and viral pneumonia) and normal images were obtained from the Kaggle Chest X-Ray Images repository [24]. For a binary classification task, non-COVID-19 images were collected from [25]. WebX-ray devices are now cheap, portable and easy to use; there are few professionals, however, who are capable of manually identifying Covid-19 from a chest x-ray. We suggest implementing a machine learning model that incorporates transfer learning to automatically detect Covid-19 from chest x-ray images.
