I just had to give the new gun a try so I took some old Federal papers that I didnt want to save and headed to the trap range. Ready for the fourth target, the live round didnt quite chamber all the way. It maybe lacked an 1/8 inch. WebNov 29, 2024 · You can shoot pretty much anything that fits (although don't try jamming a 3" shell into a 2.5" chamber). While .410 slugs will fit, they won't shoot well because the gun is chambered in 45. As far as "special" ammo goes, Federal makes 410 000 buck rounds for pistols which goes for about $0.70 a round.

Of course you can shoot the 3 inch in a 2 3/4 inch chambered gun; but you know that you should not! If you did buy them, you could trade those 3 inch ones for 2 3/4 inch ones or maybe buy an Ethos 28 gauge to shoot them in. WebDec 31, 2009 · Why mix 3-inch with 2.75? There isn't any technical problem with that, as far as I'm aware; I just don't see the point. I've got 2.75" slugs and #1 buck. One in the chamber, 7 in the tube. If that's enough power there, I'm not sure how much 3" magnum is going the help. (I also don't like having "variety" in my TOE. The fewer variables, the better.) Browning makes shotguns in both 2 3/4 inch, and 3 inch chamberings, or did the last time I looked at a catalog.
